Mobile Chipping & Firewood Splitting

We bring the equipment to you for mobile chipping and firewood splitting across Dover, the Seacoast, and nearby southern Maine. Travel is billable the same way as on-site work, so setup and access matter.

Mobile Chipping

$150 minimum · $100/hr, including travel and on-site time

We come to your property and chip your brush piles. Chips stay on site, or we can haul them away for the same price — as long as the chip drop or haul-away location is accessible to the chipper or truck.

  • Photos encouraged for faster scheduling and a better estimate
  • Brush and logs up to 10 inches in diameter
  • Clean wood and brush only — no metal, dirt, rocks, waste lumber, construction debris, or contaminated material
  • Brush must be reachable by driving the chipper in
  • We cannot move chips around the property by hand
  • No posted distance limit — travel is on the clock

Firewood Splitting

$150 minimum · $75/hr, travel & on-site time included

We bring the saw and splitter to you. If logs need to be cut to stove length first, cutting is available at the same hourly rate as splitting. Typical pace depends on log size, pile setup, access, and how much cutting or moving is needed.

  • Photos encouraged for faster scheduling and a better estimate
  • Hourly clock covers all travel and on-site time — cutting to length, splitting, moving wood, and cleanup
  • Best setup: logs cut to length, stacked near the splitter, with clear drive-in access
  • Rotten, dirty, badly bent, oversized, or metal-contaminated wood may be declined or take longer

Before you book — how to keep your cost down

How do I set up for the lowest cost?

Chipping: stack brush with the cut (butt) ends facing out toward where the chipper will sit, in an area we can drive to. Dragging brush a long way adds time, and time is the bill.

Splitting: have logs cut to length and stacked with the rounds parallel to the splitter when possible. If they still need to be cut up, we can do that at the same hourly rate, but it adds time. If you're on site to feed logs to the operator, the job goes faster and costs less.

What about access and underground structures?

The equipment is heavy. If we need to drive across your yard, the route must be clear of septic tanks, leach fields, irrigation, utilities, and any other buried structure that could be damaged. We confirm this with you before scheduling (there's a checkbox on the quote form).

Should I send photos?

Yes, if you can. Clear photos of your brush pile or wood, and of the access route, help us give you a better estimate and spot anything that will not work before we drive out. If you cannot send photos, still get in touch.

What customers say

A few words from homeowners across the Seacoast we've worked for.

Absolute professionalism -- reliable with communication, punctual, efficient, excellent results for the work done and an extremely reasonable price. I will use Northeast from hereon in, and highly recommend them to all.

Kenneth B.; Angi

Matt was very responsive and knowledgeable. He showed up right on time and expertly navigated getting the splitter through a gate. He did quick and great work on splitting the wood!

Becky & Sam; Google

Matt was awesome to work with, did everything he said he would on the first meeting. Showed up with his partner both were great to talk with about what was getting done that day. I highly recommend them to help trim trees and take down dead ones, we fell much safer in our yard now.
